“Writing is not life, but I think that sometimes it can be a way back to life.”
--Stephen King, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft
As Mr. King so eloquently puts it, writing can serve as our road map, and the best road maps lead us straight to where we want to go. For you, the writer, stepping back from your work and assuming the role of the reader can be difficult. Too often, mistakes both large and small can go overlooked.
That's where I come in. As an editor, my job is to help you arrive at the best version of your work. Whether you need editing, proofreading, or creative input, I will work with you to ensure your readers see your creation as you do. From the first sentence to the last, I want to help you learn what you can do to make your work stronger.
I have an undergraduate degree in history, a master’s degree in journalism, and 10 years of writing and editing experience, including my work as an Assistant Editor with Southern Cultures journal at UNC-Chapel Hill. I am the author of the novel Starlight on Silver.
